Oat based fruit crumble

Use quality oats for a twist on a classic pudding.

35 - 40 minutes (15 minutes)

Serves 4



1/4 cup wholemeal plain flour

3/4 cup rolled oats

1 teaspoon cinnamon

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1 tablespoon olive oil


3 Granny Smith apples, cored and peeled, thinly sliced

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

2 tablespoons water


Preheat oven to 200°C.

Combine rolled oats, flour, cinnamon, maple syrup and olive oil into a bowl and mix until combined.

To prepare the filling, combine apples, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl and stir until well combined.

Transfer to a 1.5 litre ovenproof dish and add water.

Spoon crumble mixture over the apples. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or unti golden and apples are soft.
